Thank you, Madam Chair. Doug McGowan, Memphis Light Gas and Water 220 South Main Street. Today we bring forward $4.9 million worth of approvals. These cover multi-year contracts for work we need to do at Memphis Light Gas and Water to maintain reliable and resilient utilities. The first item is partial funding of pollution control groundwater quality control program. This is partial because this is MLGW's share. Uh we charge 55 cents per meter in our system. We provide this to the Shelby County Health Department for their groundwater control board as do the other water systems in Shelby County, Bartlett, Carville, Germantown, Millington. uh this uh provides them the resources that they need to do uh study of the groundwater to prevent contamination. They do sampling and monitoring of existing wells uh particularly private wells since we do that uh most of the water systems do that on their own and report to the county. So uh this is our part here and there's been a lot of dialogue about making sure that the pollution control groundwater quality control program is fully funded. Next is a project that will replace water manes in the vicinity of South 2nd Street and Union Avenue, approximately one block to the east and one block to the south. If you think about this, uh to the north and west of the Peabody Hotel, we will be replacing a 12-in water man and an 8 in water man. You will recall over the last few years that area has been torn up several times

Aaron Smith, acting manager, water engineering and operations from MLGW. We have replaced not recently but in the past some just to the south on South Second Street. And so that section right around the Peabody is really the most
